Long Time No Post!

Hello all you DXers!  I haven’t posted in 4 years!  That’s just life being life, you know?  Life changes, geographic changes, and technology changes are just a few of the things that took me away from MWDX.  I will dabble when I can but a lot has changed.  I just moved to a multi unit building from a single family home.  Now there is a lot of RF/noise/interference from neighboring units as well as our own since we are also smart-homed to the hilt with devices.  The last thing I was really focusing on were LW NDB’s because the AM BCB bores me.  With their demise, I’m not sure what I can divert my attention to.  We’ll see.  When I have something worth posting, you’ll be the first to know!

That said, I did experience an interesting evening in the car on July 7th 2026.  I happened upon a window of FM band tropo here in eastern Massachusetts.  At 20:46 ET, 101.1 FM was overtaken by two battling stations.  The first was ESPN sports talk that included commercials for businesses in St Louis MO and “Popeyes Chophouse in Saint Rose, Illinois”.  Some quick research produced WXOS 101.1 FM Saint Louis MO.   The station it was battling with was classical music.  The only possible option I could find was WRR 101.1 Dallas TX.  I confirmed my assumption with the webstream.  Transmitter sites plotted on the map below.

73s!

Hello 2022!

Greetings~!  Its been almost three years since I last posted a DX log on here!  Life for all of us has been eventful to say the least.  My DXing has been sporadic at best and I do occasionally make mention of it on the twitter account,  Between personal schedules and electronically noisier homes and neighborhoods, DXing time is limited and isn’t has fortuitous as it used to be for me.  That said, I do hope to do some listening very soon and will post whatever I am able to log.

73’s!

Happy Independence Day!

Just wanted to check in here since it has been some time since I last posted.  Not much going in with me in terms of DX.  I did grab another regional experimental longwave WE2XEB/2 on 184 kHz back on June 9th.  Other than that there is nothing else to report.  Have a great holiday weekend!
